First Batman DLC unmasked
Holy downloads, Batman!! Exclusive DLC has already been announced for the eagerly awaited Batman Arkham Asylum, due to hit retailers on August 28th.
Why so serious? Well, the new game, released by Eidos next week is already delighting
critics and Bat-fans alike, keen to see Batman finally get the game he deserves.
Following on from the success of The Dark Knight, the new game on Xbox 360 and PS3
sees ol’ Bats up against his arch nemesis The Joker, as the clown prince of comedy releases Arkham’s inmates for one serious night of chaos. Batman has to use his brains, brawn and erm (utility) belt to restore order to Gotham City. Kapow!!
Those who pre-order via Game will also get an exclusive ‘Villains’ DLC mission to download,
pitting the Caped Crusader against Scarecrow in a psychedelic alternative world.
Other DLC is planned for later in the year, but it looks like this game is going to prove a
popular one. Well, at least until Halo 3 ODST and Modern Warfare 2 get released later in
in 2009.
Gamecrawler had early access to the game a while back, including a walk through of the demo by Eidos, and we can confirm what you’re all thinking – it’s a slick, immersive, varied and authentic version of the Dark Knight……roll-on next Friday!
You can pre-order Batman Arkham Asylum here or set your target price using GC’s
pricewatch feature. It’s all part of the plan….

I think you mean clown prince of crime, not clown prince of comedy. I always got a kick out of the play on crown ‘prince’.
