Call Of Duty: World at War DLC out today

Five months on from its release in November 2008, the DLC (Downloadable Content) for Call of Duty: World at War is finally released today for Xbox 360 and PS3.

The DLC promises 4 new maps to expand the multiplayer offering, one being an additional “Nazi Zombies” co-op map, ideal for those that loved the original mode.

While console based gamers will need to pay for the DLC, this is likely to be included for free on the PC as part of the next patch, due out very soon.  The DLC will cost 800 points on Xbox Live but we can’t find any confirmation of Playstation Network pricing at this moment.

It’s interesting that this DLC is named “Map Pack 1″ which would indicate, unlike Call of Duty Modern Warfare, there would be more than one DLC released to support Call of Duty World at War.

Players fight through the burning streets of Berlin in “Nightfire” and take up battle positions in fortified Japanese bunkers in “Knee Deep.” “Station” offers a bombed out underground train station, and the Nazi Zombies return in “Verrückt” (Zombie Asylum) featuring more weapons, new Perks-a-Cola machines and electroshock defenses.”
