Call of Duty: World at War map pack 2 announced

Outstanding marines!  Activision have recently announced a second map pack for Call of Duty: World at War, which sees 4 new maps for the popular multiplayer mode including more zombie-tastic fun.

Despite the last add-on only being released a few months back, fans waiting for Modern Warfare 2 later this year can dust off their Carbines, Bouncing Bettys and bayonets once again.  The new maps add ‘Banzai’, ‘Sub pens’ and ‘Corrosion’ to the mix, taking the lead from the design of the single-player game….with a Nazi Swamp thrown in for good measure.  The popular zombie mode will benefit from new achievements and an intriguingly titled uber-gun called the ‘Wunderwaffle DG-2′ – as well as introducing the excellently-monickered ‘Hell Hounds’ too (“Send in the devil dogs!” maybe?).

The new DLC pack, out on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, comes out in June. Sounds like a sensible use of rations but the thing is, aren’t most of us pseudo-soldiers back on Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare now anyway…?  The newer game may have Jack Bauer, but you can’t beat an AK47 or playing as the SAS, right?
