Dragon Age: Origins out Friday

Swooping into view, this majestic beast could breath some fire into the peaceful RPG genre…
Looks like not just more hot air, Dragon Age: Origins is from the masters over at Bioware, and it’s not just Dungeons and Dragons!
For some time, Baldurs Gate and Neverwinter Nights sat happily on the throne of traditional role playing. Since the MMO’s started showing up the storytelling quest-fest of these classic RPGs has seemed a little neglected. Then Bioware came back with a vengeance with the futuristic thriller Mass Effect.
The key to a decent role play game is how the story is told, the Final Fantasy series shows how a compelling plot and character depth can make up for some very risky game mechanics.
With Dragon Age: Origins, it looks like Bioware are set to tackle the traditional RPG with a solid game, plenty of depth for the characters, and an enthralling adventure (refreshed with DLC like World of Warcraft) to draw the gamer in.
Out on the 6th November on PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 this game is a must have for Christmas.
