EA Sports Active (Wii) launched today
EA Sports is finally riding the Wii Fit bandwagon with the release of EA Sports Active, out today.
Wii Fit has been amazingly popular selling by the bucket load since its launch last year and even now tops the sales charts. It’s time for EA Sports to see if they can share the craze for Wii fitness.
The presentation of the game is very slick and we’d be lying if we said we didn’t enjoy watching Alesha Dixon demonstrate EA Sports Active to its full potential. The game offers 25+ exercises and activities and seemed to cater well for personalised fitness plans. Furthermore the games seem fun and make fitness interesting and involving and this is where these type of games excel.
It’s very likely the use of your Wii to keep fit will continue to be popular for a long time. It’s only a matter of time before the traditional “Celebrity Fitness Workout” DVDs will be a thing of the past. That said, I wonder how long before we have a Celebrity Wii Workout?!?
Update: If you’re keen to play EA Sports Active with a friend you can also get the spare EA Sports Active Peripherals Box which contains all you need.

Yeah the 30 Day Challenge got me interested in this… been reading lots of positive reviews, might just get out there and get me one, lol
If you haven’t seen the 30 Day Challenge, check it out – http://www.easportsactive.com/thirtyday.action
I bought Sports Active from Asda and it’s great fun… makes a nice change from Wii Fit!!
Can anyone recommend if this is worth buying for the Wii.. I already have Wii Fit!
Go for it! I’d say it’s also great if you want to up your workout slightly. On easy/medium settings you get a real good workout.. The 30 day challenge is cool!
