Back of the net! Retailers kick-off Fifa price war ahead of Xmas games season

As expected, the big retailers have sparked a video games price war for the star players this (holiday) season, with Fifa the first to be traded in the transfer market. Gamecrawler takes one for the team and searches out a bargain…

Fifa 10 is always one of the year’s best-selling titles across multiple formats. This year EA has further improved an already popular game with new features – an enhanced dribbling control system, much-needed ‘Be a Pro’ additions and of course, the slickest online play around. With PES 2010 also due out soon (and by all accounts playing well in the demo), competition is going to be tough this season and is likely to once again divide football-playing fans.

Hopes are therefore high that retailers will also keep prices down for the likes of Modern Warfare 2 when it’s released in November. Hmm, I wonder which team Soap McTavish would support? ‘Arsenal’ most likely…

   i would think soap would support either hereford utd (sas based there) or possibly millwall
