Modern Warfare 2: First look at Multiplayer!

Video footage has just been released by Infinity Ward showing multiplayer gameplay in action and more importantly gives a sneak peak into new features sure to mix up what we know and love.

Perks made the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare unique and offered many different playing styles but in Modern Warfare 2, it now appears that you can customise your killstreaks!

In this video, Infinity Ward show the ability to be the gunner of an airborne AC130, manually directing shots at the enemy, along with what seems a defence against such attacks, ground to air missiles. We also noticed the ability to gain extra points for special kills such as stopping an opponent who themselves are on a killstreak.

While there are high expectations for this game, the little footage we’ve seen shows that Infinity Ward may of come up with unique and marvelous ideas to further varied gameplay. It’s unsure whether these new perks will be as well balanced as the original. Time will tell!
