Pre Order Assassin’s Creed 2

In a frantic melee of sequels coming to us this Christmas, Assassin’s Creed 2 looks to be one of the high flyers… and not only because you can leap across rooftops!

We have seen it before, the sneaky sneaky games like Thief, Thief 2, and Thief 3 (Splinter what?). These games have captured the notion of subtlety when it comes to combat where many other games such as GTA IV have required the lone protagonist to maim a city worth of gangsters!

There is a certain appeal to the more thought out approach, survey the scene to find the target, get an idea of the number of guards, and plan your escape. If it all goes through like it’s supposed to you end up with a satisfying mix of strategy and action.

Back in 2007, Assassin’s Creed did this well and was noted for its style, flowing gameplay, and expansive world. All good things which gave a decent amount of gametime from a single player only title.

Now Assassin’s Creed 2 is promising us another fantastic adventure, set this time in Renaissance Italy keeping much to the same formula, but why fix what isn’t broken! This promising title is set for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 release 20th November.
