Pre Order Bioshock 2

Bioshock, the first person shooter with unique role-playing game customisations was superb, if a little spooky.

So much in fact that I nearly never bought it. The basis of a very special offer , I gave the game a try and was glad I did.

Although the initial demos didn’t impress with “freaky nurses” trying to kill me while screaming insanely, as the plot unfolds you understand why the inhabitants of Rapture (an underwater city) were fruitcakes!

The game offered a superb single player experience, where you explore the beautifully crafted Rapture trying to work out what happened to the once glorious city, now a very dangerous place.

Using ADAM you were able to boost character growth and spend ADAM to gain plasmids and gene tonics which allowed your character to gain new abilities (Electro Bolt, Insect Swarm, Telekinesis etc…) or improve the ones you already had.

This blend of character advancement and a superb plot made the original Bioshock a great success. The sequel, set 10 years after the first game is looking to be one of the standout games of 2010.
