Pre Order Red Dead Redemption

Red Dead Redemption can be best described as Grand Theft Auto, in the Wild West, replacing cars for horses. We know we won’t be the first (or last) to describe the game in such a way.
Early previews of the game show this could be a worthy successor to Grand Theft Auto IV with the usual touches of Rockstar brilliance.
While the game appears to use the original Grand Theft Auto IV game engine, obvious changes have been made to adapt the game to the Wild West setting.
Similarly the game takes place in a large open world environment, just now it’s set over western backdrops with sprawling countryside to explore.
Cars have been replaced with horses, and much like there were different car models in GTA IV, there are now different breeds of horse which have differing speed and stamina.
The game has a primary storyline to follow, though there are many sidelines that can be pursued such as random requests for help, ambushes and dangerous animal attacks.
Multiplayer promises a similar free mode to that of Grand Theft Auto IV, where you can form “posses” of up to eight players, roaming the landscape to take part in activities such as attacking other posses or hunting wild animals.
Taking into account Rockstar’s history of producing quality games this could be one of the highlight games of the year.
Rockstar have said “The team at San Diego have massively exceeded our expectations with the sheer depth of experiences in Red Dead Redemption. The seamless combination of breathtaking beauty and intense action, all woven together with strong plotlines in a massive vibrant, rural environment is mind-blowing. We think this game helps to push the limits of what an open-world gaming experience can be.”
Red Dead Redemption has a release date of 21st May 2010.
