Pre Order Tony Hawk Ride

Tony Hawk Ride, unlike Project Natal, is due out soon. While Natal impressed, it also overshadowed Tony Hawk Ride at E3. On the positive front Tony Hawk Ride is out within a few weeks (not years!) and includes a full motion sensing skateboard controller.
Tony Hawk Ride was demonstrated at E3 and looked an interesting prospect for gaming skaters with the promise of being able to recreate skating manoeuvres with the bundled wireless skateboard controller and the ability to step on the board and just play!
Sadly this was before Microsoft then went on to present their Natal Project which was one of the highlights of E3 and overshadowed the Tony Hawk Ride presentation.
Activision have stated “Tony Hawk: RIDE is a massive step forward for the franchise and the gaming industry as a whole,” said Rob Kostich, head of marketing, global brand management, Activision Publishing, Inc. “The skateboard controller will redefine sports games by offering players a true skateboarding experience, hands-free, playing with friends and family at home or online in a variety of different locations.”
Further Tony Hawk himself said “This is the game I’ve always wanted to make.” Hawk has been directly involved with development of the project. “Playing on the board is unlike any other game, and I’m excited for everyone to have the chance to feel what it’s really like to experience the true feeling of skateboarding.”
Tony Hawk Ride comes complete bundled with the wireless skateboard controller is already available to pre-order for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii formats. Currently the game is on sale at recommended retail but we expect the price to be more competitive in the coming weeks.
