Sony to show off their PS3 motion controller

In the next few weeks, Sony will finally unleash their take on motion controller technology.
Both Sony and Microsoft are following in the footsteps of Nintendo and their best selling Wii console which transformed social gaming with a unique (at the time) motion based controller
While there’s been a lot of news on Microsoft’s upcoming Project Natal, which offers a natural user interface using gestures and spoken commands, a kind of motion controller 2.0+, Sony are keen to get their own motion controller out quickly.
March 11th at the Game Developer Conference in San Francisco, Sony will open a presentation titled “Introducing the PlayStation 3 Motion Controller”. There’s little information beyond that presentation title and the general blurb that this motion controller will “create new game play experiences”.
Hopefully we’ll be shown some great examples of what this motion controller can do and how it plans to compete and gain a wider audience.
