New PSP Console, codenamed NGP
After months of leaks and rumours, Sony have officially announced the follow up to the PSP, codenamed the NGP.
The finer details of the NGP (Next Generation Portable) are very impressive which will make for an interesting alternative to the Nintendo 3DS.
Sony’s new handheld promises some awesome features. There’s a 5 inch, 960 x 544, multi-touch OLED screen along with an additional rear facing multi-touch sensor. Driving the NGP will be a 4 Core ARM processor which Sony says is many times faster than anything on the current mobile market.
The NGP also includes two cameras, built in 3G/Wifi and two analogue sticks, much like the PS3 with promise of “Dual Shock” levels of control and precision. A strong list of titles for launch include Uncharted, Killzone and Call of Duty.
If the NGP is a little closer to getting PS3 quality titles to the small screen then the NGP could be a massive success.
